VÖR is named after the Norse goddess, Vör, goddess of knowledge and wisdom. She possessed a clear gaze and a quiet strength. At VÖR, we exclusively work with stainless steel because it is a material with strong durability. It combines high wear resistance with minimal maintenance and retains its appearance with daily use.
Stainless steel is resistant to scratches, corrosion, and discoloration, making it one of the most durable materials for jewelry. It does not tarnish like silver and therefore requires minimal care.
Our gold-plated jewelry is coated with 14k gold or platinum PVD - an advanced surface treatment that provides a significantly more durable finish than traditional gold plating. This means that the color remains beautiful for a longer time and can withstand water, sweat, perfume, etc.
Additionally, stainless steel is a good choice for most people with sensitive skin, as the material is hypoallergenic.
